GELF is the 'Global Education Leadership Fund' which supports students to participate in International Travel with NNHS programs.  This fund has helped many Newton North music students to experience the incredible education that comes through travel.
AUSTRALIA - In May of 2013 Mr. Young visited Haileybury College, just outside of Melbourne to help establish an exchange relationship with the school.  More news on this exciting opportunity to come.

Newton North Resident Artist Program

The Lillian Radlo Resident Artist Program is designed to help foster opportunities in the Arts for Newton’s high school students that go above and beyond the scope of the traditional school Arts curriculum.  Additionally, the program seeks to build relationships within the community and the schools through Arts initiatives.

Initiatives may range from providing a master class / lecture to long-range projects throughout a school semester.  Ideas or program initiatives center on student involvement and engagement. 

Jazz Night

2013 - Guest Artists included Ed Harlow, Yoko Miwa, Allan Chase, Dave Weigert, Eric Bloom, Bruce Gertz, and Joel Yennior.

2012 - NNHS Faculty Student Big Band featured faculty: Ken Mignone, Caleb Cutler, Ed Harney, Matt Joseph, Walt Bostian, Geoff Wadsworth, Ed Harlow, Ted Decolo, Rich Labedz, Sheldon Reid.

2011 - NNHS Faculty Student Big Band featuring Casey Scheuerell with guest artists:  Walt Bostian, Caleb Cutler, Jeff Galindo, Ed Harlow, Ed Harney, Jason Squinobal.
